Ferrari has unveiled the 296 GT Modificata, a track-focused car designed for drivers who want the intensity of a race car without entering official competition. Unlike the Ferrari 296 GT3, it is not bound by GT3 regulations—and Ferrari has no intention of racing it.

The 296 GT Modificata delivers 720 horsepower, up from roughly 600 hp for the 296 GT3, whose race output can vary with competition rules. The car also adds a second seat, so a passenger or driving coach can join the experience on track.

Ferrari has revised the braking and aerodynamic systems for track use. Changes include new front brake discs, extra cooling vents, a redesigned hood to help cool the more powerful engine, a new front splitter, and a large rear wing.

Owners will also be invited to take part in two years of Ferrari’s Club Competizioni GT program, featuring dedicated track days around the world. The 296 GT Modificata brings together high performance, track-focused engineering, and the freedom to enjoy a Ferrari race car outside a race series.
