The new 2027 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door EV has officially been revealed, and it looks like AMG is not ready to slow down in the electric performance race. While some automakers are stepping back from expensive EV projects, Mercedes-AMG is moving forward with a serious four-door electric coupe built to challenge cars like the Porsche Taycan.
The car is based on the new AMG.EA platform, created specifically for high-performance electric vehicles. This is not just a regular Mercedes EV with AMG badges. The model uses three axial-flux electric motors: one at the front and two at the rear. This layout gives the car strong acceleration, advanced torque control and the aggressive driving character expected from AMG.
Up to 1153 Horsepower
The new electric AMG GT 4-Door will be offered in two versions: GT55 and GT63. The GT55 produces around 805 horsepower, while the GT63 raises output to an incredible 1153 horsepower. Mercedes-AMG claims the GT63 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 2.0 seconds, which puts it directly in supercar territory.
For car fans planning a trip to Baku, this kind of technology shows how fast the luxury car market is changing. At Getcar Azerbaijan, interest in premium cars, electric vehicles and modern performance models keeps growing, especially among visitors who want comfort, style and a better driving experience during their journey.
800-Volt Battery and Ultra-Fast Charging
The 2027 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door EV uses a 106-kWh battery with an 800-volt electrical system. According to Mercedes-AMG, the battery can charge from 10 to 80 percent in as little as 11 minutes when connected to a powerful enough fast charger. The estimated WLTP driving range is between 370 and 470 miles, depending on the version and configuration.
The battery cooling system was developed with performance in mind. AMG uses oil cooling to help the battery deliver high power for longer periods. This makes the car more suitable for spirited driving, repeated acceleration and track-style use.
Luxury Interior and AMG Character
Inside, the electric GT 4-Door keeps the premium Mercedes-AMG atmosphere. The cabin features sporty seats, elegant materials and a driver-focused screen layout. Despite the battery under the floor, the rear passenger area is designed to offer good space, making the car more practical than many electric performance coupes.
One of the most interesting details is the simulated AMG V-8 sound. In Sport+ mode, the car can reproduce engine-like sounds and even simulated gear changes. This gives drivers a more emotional experience, even though the car is fully electric.
A New Electric Performance Era
The 2027 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door EV is expected to arrive first as the GT55, followed later by the more powerful GT63. Pricing has not been officially announced yet, but early expectations place it around the high-performance luxury EV segment.
For drivers who love premium cars, this model is another sign that the future of performance is becoming electric.
