The 2027 Bentley Supersports takes the legendary British luxury brand in a dramatically more performance-oriented direction. Based on the Continental GT, the new Supersports abandons all-wheel drive and plug-in hybrid hardware in favor of a lighter rear-wheel-drive layout and a powerful twin-turbo V8.

657 horsepower and rear-wheel drive

Under the hood sits a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing 657 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to the rear wheels.

By removing the front-drive hardware and heavy hybrid components, Bentley managed to cut roughly half a ton from the car. The estimated curb weight is around 4,500 pounds, making the Supersports considerably more focused than the regular Continental models.

A Bentley built for the track

The Supersports receives an extensively revised chassis with adaptive dampers, air springs, active anti-roll bars, rear-wheel steering and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential. A wider rear track also helps put the V8’s power to the ground.

A serious aerodynamic package further separates the Supersports from other Bentleys. Carbon-fiber bodywork includes deeper side sills, redesigned fender elements, a large rear diffuser, a fixed rear spoiler and an aggressive front splitter. Bentley says the aerodynamic package can generate more than 660 pounds of additional maximum downforce compared with regular Continental models.

Performance without sacrificing luxury

Despite its track-focused character, the 2027 Bentley Supersports remains unmistakably luxurious. The cabin features premium materials, extensive sound insulation and lightweight performance seats with heating and 11-way power adjustment.

The rear seats have been removed and replaced by a leather- and carbon-fiber-trimmed storage area. Bentley specifically developed the car to remain comfortable enough for road trips to track days, making it a rare combination of grand-tourer comfort and serious performance.

Up to 193 mph

Car and Driver estimates that the Supersports can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 3.5 seconds, reach 100 mph in 7.5 seconds and cover the quarter-mile in around 11.4 seconds. Estimated top speed is 193 mph.

Optional 22-inch Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tires and massive carbon-ceramic brakes with 17.3-inch front rotors and 10-piston calipers give the car the hardware necessary for repeated high-performance driving.

Bentley Supersports performance

One of the rarest modern Bentleys

Production of the 2027 Bentley Supersports will be limited to just 500 cars worldwide, and all of them have already been spoken for. The starting price is approximately $490,350, with only about one-third of production allocated to the U.S. market.

The Supersports is therefore much more than another powerful Bentley. It represents a new approach to performance at the British manufacturer, combining extreme luxury, rear-wheel-drive dynamics and track-focused engineering in a limited-production package.
